Edible oil processing, start to finish
Pakistan imports most of its edible oil despite having strong domestic oilseed production potential in sunflower, canola, soybean and cottonseed. The Grains delivers complete oil processing plants in partnership with HUM, whose equipment has been running in plants across Turkey, Ukraine, Central Asia and the Middle East for over 65 years.
We supply the full chain: seed cleaning and preparation, mechanical pressing, continuous solvent extraction, crude oil storage, and complete physical or chemical refining to finished packaged edible oil. Every plant is engineered to your seed type, daily capacity and market specification.
What We Deliver
Complete processing scope
Six stages, one turn-key contract — from raw oilseed to finished bottled oil and protein meal.
Mechanical Pressing
HUM oil screw presses extract oil from conditioned seed. Suitable as a standalone unit or as the first stage before solvent extraction for maximum oil recovery.
Solvent Extraction
Continuous hexane extraction recovers oil from pressed cake or flakes that mechanical pressing alone cannot reach. Essential for high-capacity, high-recovery plants.
Edible Oil Refining
Physical or chemical refining removes phosphatides, free fatty acids and pro-oxidants, producing neutral, bleached, deodorised oil ready for bottling or further use.
Fat Modification
Dry fractionation plants for palm, sunflower and other oils — producing olein and stearin fractions for food manufacturers, margarine plants and industrial users.
Low-Fat Soybean Production
High-protein, low-fat soybean meal plants for poultry and dairy feed — converting an abundant Pakistani crop into premium animal nutrition.

The preparation line handles soybean, sunflower, canola and cottonseed. Seed cleaning, dehulling, conditioning and flaking are all sized to the seed you intend to run, so tell us the crop mix at enquiry stage.
Not always. A screw press can run as a standalone unit. Solvent extraction recovers the oil that pressing alone cannot reach, so it is added where high capacity and maximum recovery matter.
Both are offered. Either route removes phosphatides, free fatty acids and pro-oxidants to produce neutral, bleached, deodorised oil ready for bottling. The choice follows your seed type and finished-product specification.
